Winter break for students will be from Monday, December 23rd to Tuesday, January 7th. January 7th is a non-student day with certificated staff on site. Students will return to school on Wednesday, January 8th.

Attention all prospective students & families, Join us Thursday, November 14th from 6-7:30pm for a Preview Night at Tomales High School! This event is to showcase what THS has to offer for our incoming 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. Tomales High School is a small, rural high school with an exceptional student-to-teacher ratio, located 20 minutes outside of Petaluma and Rohnert Park, and 25 minutes outside of Sebastopol in the town of Tomales. We welcome interdistrict transfers and are ready to support families with the process. The evening will start with a brief welcome by our Principal from 6pm -6:10pm in the Auditorium (signs and students will direct you). The rest of the evening will give families the opportunity to explore our campus and visit with teachers and staff, parent and student clubs, athletics, and counseling and student services. Bridge the Gap (BTG) is a nonprofit founded in 1995 to provide much-needed academic support for students furthest from opportunity. BTG provides a pathway to educational opportunity and post-secondary success. BTG offers culturally competent, accessible, relevant, and comprehensive academic and youth development enrichment both during and outside of the school day in a demanding yet nurturing environment.
The Tomales High Program Manager works full-time both during the day and after school at Tomales High. The Manager’s primary role is to develop and coordinate this new program at Tomales High and holistically support the high school students to remain on track towards high school graduation and viable post-secondary options. The role includes advising students both during the day and after school, as well as planning and delivering workshops for students. The role also includes outreach to find and supervise tutors for the subject areas where students need support. The Manager works closely with all of the other BTG program staff as well as the Tomales High teachers, staff, and administration. This job is in person at Tomales High, with weekly visits to Tam High in Mill Valley and/or the BTG office.

Bodega Bay School, Tomales High School, and Inverness Schools will be in session on May 24th! This day is marked as our second emergency day on the school calendar. We're using it to make up for February 6th, when we had to cancel classes due to storm-related flooding and power outages.

We'll discuss the eight identified strategies for community schools and seek your feedback on which ones we should focus on for the next year. Additionally, we'll provide a brief overview of our plans for next year, including participatory budgeting.
Interpretation services will be available, and light refreshments will be served. While we're working hard to secure childcare, it has been challenging. We continue to work hard to provide this service. Nonetheless, we encourage all your students to attend and participate in the meeting to share their thoughts.
