All schools will be closed today, Monday January 9th. While the power has returned to our school sites, based on our assessment of the current road and weather conditions, we believe that the safest course of action is to close schools for today. We will make this school day up on our second emergency make up day, on May 26, 2023.
We anticipate reopening schools tomorrow, Tuesday January 10th, with less severe weather continuing throughout the week. I will send an update this evening by 6pm. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

As the roads are open, the power has returned, and the weather forecast for today is stable, Tomales High School, Tomales Elementary School, and Bodega Bay School will reopen today Friday 1/6/23. With the power is still out in Point Reyes Station, Inverness Park, and Inverness, West Marin School and Inverness School will remain closed.

We continue to hope that we can reopen Shoreline Unified School District schools for Friday, January 6th, however we are still waiting for power to be returned across the district. Road and weather conditions for tomorrow are favorable for a return school, but we cannot confirm reopening until we know our schools will have power. After reviewing these conditions early tomorrow, we will make a final determination and inform families by 6AM.

Schools will be closed Thursday January 5th due to severe weather conditions.
Based on the current road conditions, as well as the anticipated increase in rainfall and high winds throughout the night, we are making the decision to close all Shoreline schools for tomorrow, Thursday January 5th. We will make up this school day on April 7th, our first emergency school closure day.
While we anticipate reopening schools on Friday January 6th, we will continue to monitor the weather and road conditions, as well as power outages, throughout the day tomorrow and provide an update by 6pm tomorrow night.
